We use cold calling only to schedule qualified MSP Appointments for our clients.  We don’t rely on email or social. The Managed Sales Pros process doesn’t include automating anything other than sending emails when someone says “send me something”, and we train our team to counter that objection to get the meeting set up.

We don’t use any AI features in our CRM, we turn them off.  We don’t use data enrichment features, we don’t rely on guesswork or scraped data and neither should you. Don’t Buy Data Platform Subscriptions – They’re a Huge Waste of Money

We don’t subscribe to any data platforms – we build our lists from scratch, and our clients own that clean list upon completion of their programs.  Managed Sales Pros doesn’t endorse or recommend any data platform, in fact – we think they’re a terrible idea, as every dollar you spend on any data platform (especially the one that is being marketed to MSPs right now) goes towards giving your competitors the exact same data you just paid to have “human verified”.  Why are you sharing your most valuable asset?  Data wins deals.  Assume if you can reach that newly-verified prospect, so can every other MSP that subscribes to the platform.  Great data leads to great MSP Appointments, and the company with the best data gets the most MSP Appoinments!

How Many MSP Appointments Does Managed Sales Pros Schedule Every Quarter?

That number changes every quarter.  It varies by number of clients on the roster, how long they’ve been working with us, the quality of the list we’re using, and the market response to each individual client.

Cold calling works. 

It works best when you make the calls consistently, follow a defined process, and never skip your follow up activities.  It takes time to clean lists, identify decision makers and collect information. We attempt to learn the following information on any call we make:

  • How many computers do they have?
  • How many virtual or on premise servers do they have?
  • How many users are there?
  • What kind of IT support are they receiving today?
  • Who is providing that support?
  • When is their contract up for renewal?

Parameters for each campaign are defined by the client – some clients want 10-50 users, some want 100+.  We only schedule appointments with the prospects that meet the campaign parameters, have an appropriate IT budget for a managed engagement, have defined pain with their current processes or providers, and have less than 8 months remaining on a contract with a competitor (if applicable).

How Many Calls Does It Take to Get This Many MSP Appointments?

Our agents make 50 dials per day per MSP (half time engagement) and begin securing appointments about 90 days in to any program
