It’s been an amazing year for Managed Sales Pros.   We grew 400%, added over 30 new team members, and we’re about to move into our brand new office in Las Vegas with our partners Everywhere Managed!

The decision to locate our much larger on-premise call center operations in Las Vegas was not made lightly.  We have fallen in love with the city, the people, the energy and the business community.  As we prepare for our tentative move-in date mid-December and get ready for the holidays individually and as a company, we have decided to borrow from something we saw online last year and kick off  #12DaysOfGiving

So instead of gift baskets for our clients  we chose to give to some people and charities and programs in our new hometown!  Our Las Vegas team  made suggestions about where we could make the most impact and helped us choose.  Each day we’ll share our gift, and we’ll share some information about the group that we’re donating to.

We encourage other companies to join us in #12DaysOfGiving this holiday season.   Take the hashtag, make it your own, and spread some love around your office and your city!

Stay tuned to see how we celebrated the #12DaysOfGiving this year!

On the first day of Giving, our team gave:

“One Thing” to the Salvation Army Las Vegas “One Thing” Campaign.

The goal of this campaign was to ask people to give up just one thing from their Christmas to help others enjoy a better Christmas! We actually weren’t sure what a company would “give up” for Christmas, but there was a “Give a Random Gift” button for this campaign, where you could donate a random gift to someone, so that’s what we did!  We donated a random $100.00 gift to a stranger who was fundraising on behalf of the Salvation Army.

On the second day of Giving, our team gave:

A donation to Noah’s Animal House in Las Vegas.

Woman who are experiencing domestic violence often have to leave their homes with no notice, leaving everything behind, including beloved pets.  Noah’s Animal House provides on-site shelter and care for the pets of the victims of domestic violence.

On the third day of Giving, our team gave:

A donation to Three Square in Las Vegas.

58% of children in the Clark County School District in Las Vegas are enrolled in free and reduced-price meal programs based on their family income.   Three Square provides take-home weekend meals for children who are living in the very scary daily reality of food insecurity.   Until the end of the year, Bank of America will match your contribution, so together with the generosity of Bank of America, we were able to provide 3000 meals for kids in Las Vegas.

On the fourth day of Giving, our team gave:

Four new women’s winter coats to The Shade Tree

The Shade Tree provides safe shelter to homeless and abused women and children in crisis, and offers life-changing services that promote stability, dignity, and self-reliance.  We were told that what was most needed was larger winter jackets.  Tracie and I had fun shopping for warm winter wear that was still stylish.  I feel good leaving the house in the right coat – a pretty new coat won’t solve your problems, but it can add a little spring to your step!

On the 5th day of Giving, our team gave:

Five Turkeys to the Las Vegas Rescue Mission  for their holiday dinners!

Whether it’s a single meal for a hungry person in the community or a year-long stay in an addiction recovery program, the Las Vegas Rescue Mission offers a variety of programs and services to help those in need.

On the 6th day of Giving, our team gave:

Six pairs of shoes to the Goodie Two Shoes Foundation

The Goodie Two Shoes Foundation provides new shoes to children – and they don’t just provide any old pair of shoes!  Many children that this group services have NEVER had a new pair of shoes, much less been able to pick their own pair.  Take a moment to visit their website to learn more about it!  We love this whole idea, and can’t wait to provide more support.

On the 7th day of Giving, our team gave:

Seven packages of children’s socks to Socks and Blankets for the Homeless

We actually don’t know a lot about this organization — There was a collection box at our office at Work In Progress asking for donations, so we contributed!  Here’s their Facebook page:

On the 8th day of Giving, our company gave:

Eight paid days off for our entire team!

Okay, that’s not really charity.  It’s more of a shameless plug for how great it is to work with Managed Sales Pros!  Every full-timer on our team, regardless of time with the company, was gifted with 2 paid weeks off over the holidays to recharge for 2016.   Thanks to everyone who worked so hard this year.  It was an instrumental year in our success and we appreciate you all!  We’re hiring, by the way:,-Inc.

On the 9th day of Giving, our team gave:

Nine cans of baby formula to Safe Nest Las Vegas

Safe Nest is Nevada’s largest and most comprehensive charity devoted solely to domestic violence issues. Safe Nest’s programs are concentrated in four areas of service: advocacy, counseling, prevention and shelter.  One of the reasons I like Safe Nest is they talk about domestic violence as it affects EVERYONE – not just women.

On the 10th day of Giving, our team gave:

10 New Fleece Blankets to Operation Safe Winter.

Anyone who has known me for any time at all knows that 11 years ago I quit drinking.  I joined a recovery program that I still attend to this day.  Operation Safe Winter was organized by one of my friends in that program — someone who spent a lot of time homeless when she was active in her addiction.  I fortunately never had to experience that, and I’m grateful for that.  Operation Safe Winter was entirely coordinated and run by volunteers.  They collected hats, blankets, mittens and scarves, and then distributed them on the streets of Las Vegas themselves.   Shannon, you’re a fierce little miracle.  Thanks for doing this!

On the 11th Day of Giving, our team gave:

11 New Children’s Books to Spread The Word Nevada

This charity  is dedicated to advancing early childhood literacy by placing books into the hands and homes of children within Southern Nevada’s at-risk, low income communities.  Our daughters love to read.  I love to read.  Josh can’t be found without a book within reach. My Mom loves to read.  My father loved to read these awful Louis L’Amour novels. Anyhow, point being — you can donate gently used and new books at collection bins at all Las Vegas Barnes And Noble locations.  Since 2001 they have donated over 3 million books to children.  We chose some books that our own kids have enjoyed.  No Louis L’Amour.

And on the 12th Day of Giving, our team gave:

12 New Toys to Toys for Tots!

This was one of the hardest one to get done, as my four year old hasn’t quite mastered the art of giving away toys.  After a few failed attempts to put them in the donation bin, we had Sharon sort this one out for us!!!   Note:  I’m thankful the Fuzzy Pumper Barber Shop made its’ way to the Toys for Tots donation bin and not to my house 🙂

Thank you so much to all of our clients this year for making this possible!  Thank you for your business and your continued referrals.  We wish you all the happiest of holidays and a prosperous and healthy 2016!  From all of us here at Managed Sales Pros, Merry Christmas!
