This was one of my favorite donations for the #12DaysOfGiving celebration this year.

Our client, Kaimetrix, didn’t have a specific charity in mind when they requested we support a charity that combats hunger.  Our first donation for hunger-related causes went to Three Square on Day three.  But why stop there?  Today, on day eight of our giving celebration, we donated 800 pounds of food to the Catholic Charities of Nevada Hands of Hope Food Pantry!

“The Hands of Hope Community Food Pantry provides food to low income Nevadans in a grocery store setting. Each household who visits the Food Pantry leaves with approximately 50 lbs. of supplemental food items including: fresh produce, boxed, canned and frozen food items when available. The Food Pantry is the busiest food pantry in Southern Nevada. 5,000 men, women, and children benefit from the Food Pantry every month, including 1,000 seniors. You can help fight hunger in Southern Nevada by hosting a food drive. Whether you want to hold a drive in your neighborhood, church, business, office, or school, we’ll help you with the right materials.”

Thanks to everyone who volunteered to drop off cheques and donations, and to those who volunteer to organize our company celebrations, including #12DaysOfGiving.

While our office is now closed until the New Year, our giving days continue right up until Christmas Day!  We’re glad we could help other people enjoy a Christmas dinner as much as we did!
